Greetings Everyone!!! 👋

In this medium, I will be presenting you an info-graphic illustrating the Blocking Condition publishing, retrieval, and evaluation process flow of WSO2 API Manager v2.6.0.

In a brief, API Manager provides a platform to block the API requests at Gateway using Deny policies. The Deny policies (also known as Blocking Conditions) are configured and deployed from the Admin portal of the API Manager. During the publication, the Admin component communicates and sends an event to the Gateway node through the Traffic Manager component. Once the event is received by the Gateway, it uses the policy to evaluate and block the API requests based on the presented conditions.

You can find the high-quality SVG of the following infographic at StackCheats

Hope the presented illustration helps you to understand the flow of the Blocking Conditions publishing, retrieval process in WSO2 API Manager v2.6.0.

The latest versions of the API Manager servers (including 3.0.0, 3.1.0, and 3.2.0) also follows the same process flow (with few enhancements) to publish, retrieve, and process the blocking conditions during runtime.

Happy Stacking!!! 😎
